.. and so we got chickens
We got these little gals (one turned out not to be) in part so that we would not longer support the egg industry with those tiny little cages packed with chickens. As an added benefit they eat most of our extra produce along with any bugs (except ants darn it) that cross their path.
Here they all are at one month old. They had just moved from their brooder out to the new coop (that we made from reused wood).
