Four eggs!

Yea! We got four eggs in one day from our five chickens.
I think that the only one that is not laying (currently 24 weeks old) is our Silver Laced Wyandotte.
She’s pretty, but she’s still a freeloader.

Chickens in the mist

We are having the oddest weather on the Central Coast. Three days ago it rained. Four days ago I was wearing a sweater. Today, it is HOT. I hate that.

Chickens hate it more. Ziggy was kind enough to give us another egg today, but I understand that heat like this is disruptive to the egg [...]
